Name: Adrian Young
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Height: 5' 11''
Weight: 140 lbs (Which sounds like a lot, but it's normal for his height.)
Hair: Light brown and cut short. His hair is naturally wavey, but he doesn't get it long enough for the waves to show.
Eye color: Light blue
Appearance: He's tanned from being outside a lot. The only defining mark on him is a scar on his stomach from an appendectomy he had to get when he was a kid. As for clothing, he doesn't particularly have any kinds of clothing preferences when he's off duty. He has enough fashion sense to look decent when not in uniform.
Occupation: Policeman, currently stationed at Umbra
Personality: His main traits are his tenacity, his sarcasm, and his strong sense of justice. He takes being a policeman very seriously, and as such is very serious when he's on the job. When he's off duty, he becomes a lot more relaxed and natural. He doesn't lose his cool very easily and always keeps a clear head, even in the craziest of situations. He's very loyal to his friends and family, although he wouldn't hesitate to arrest them if they were involved in a crime. If you can't stand sarcasm or getting poked fun of, you're not going to make friends with him. He can be a bit stubborn at times, though he's gotten a lot better since he was a teenager. He's not one to give up very easily when faced with a problem and will do everything he can to try to solve it. He has a strong sense of justice and has no tolerance whatsoever for criminals, especially those who commit violent crimes against others. If he saw someone in danger, he would do anything he could to save them, even if it cost them his life. He's also kind of a perfectionist, especially when it comes to his job. He very much values his personal space and does not like it when people get too touchy with him without his permission.
History: Adrian was born and raised on Terra Nova, the second most populated planet in the Alliance besides Earth. His father and his uncle were also policemen, and from the time he was little Adrian knew he wanted to follow in their footsteps. Therefore, when he was seventeen he enrolled in the Police Academy on Terra Nova. Even though he wasn't the smartest or strongest student in the Academy, he worked hard and was passionate about what he did. For these reasons he did very well at the Academy, graduating with higher than average grades and the promise of a stellar career ahead of him. His first assignment was in Terra Nova and he stayed there for a year before being transfered to some backwater mining planet on the edge of the Alliance. It's strange being so far away from home and his friends, but Adrian's determined to do the best he can in this new planet.

Height: 5' 1''
Weight: 119 lbs
Hair: Reddish brown, and it goes down to her shoulders. Sometimes she puts streaks of color in it, generally hot pink or purple. Most of the time she lets it hang down, though sometimes she puts it up in a ponytail.
Eye color: Dark brown.
Appearance: She has very pale skin and tends to get sunburned easily, so she prefers to wear clothes that cover as much skin as possibe when she goes outdoors for long periods of time. Besides that, she loves to dress up and experiement with new fashions whenever she can. She loves to paint her nails and changes their color frequently. She has no major scars, but does have a few freckles on her body and face.
Occupation: Currently works part-time as a waitress at a local cafe.
Personality: Danielle is quiet and reserved around strangers, but opens up around people she knows. Even then, she's still not what one would call exhuberant. No matter how bad she may feel, she tries to stay happy and smiling as not to worry the people around her. She tends to get flustered easily, especially around unfamilar people. Despite all of this, she has a spunky side that only people very close to her see. She doesn't like crowds and city life and therefore likes Umbra a lot more than some of the more densely populated planets. She's very book-smart and is has an insatiable appetite for knowledge. If there's one thing she doesn't like, it's violence and fighting; she doesn't like to see people getting hurt. Normally, she's pretty cheerful and go-with-the-flow, but if need be she can focus and become a lot more serious. She tends to compare herself with other people, and therefore feels a little insecure in herself and her abilties.
History: Danielle's family was one of first to settle on Umbra; her great-grandfather, in fact, was a prospecter who found the massive iron deposits that is the lifeblood of Smith's Hope. For that reason, her family has a strong connection to Umbra and its mines. Many members of Danielle's family works in the mines, and Danielle often visited them as a child. As much as she loves Umbra, though, she always wanted to visit some of the other planets in the Alliance; a desire that was cemented when she and her family went on a vacation to Earth. She spent much of her school years trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life and eventually decided she wanted to be a doctor. Her grades were good enough for her to be accepted to a medical college on the nearby planet of Osirus. She still has three Earth months before she leaves for college and she's decided to stay on Umbra until then.

Name: Ophelia Evans

Age: 17

Weight: approx 99 lbs
Hair: Long, mousey brown, and nearly always in pigtail braids.
Eye color: lavender (Assuming that with weird technology, I can give her whatever eye color I want )
Appearance: Younger than her age, mainly because of her hairstyle choice. She enjoys wearing historically accurate costumes and other pieces.
Occupation: High tech librarian
Personality: Ophelia is quiet but smart. She loves children, and tends to be a bit of a walking encyclopedia, aftger growing up in the library. She's very sensitive, and surprisingly protective, considering that most people feel the need to protect her. She loves her job at the library, but has always wanted to become a novelist.
History: As a young child, Ophelia spent all of her time exploring the vast digital collections in the library. She was actually born on Earth, but her parents moved to Umbra when she was about 3 or 4, to help start the small mining town she now lives in. But, now her parents have joined the army to help bring peace to the universe. She's been home alone for three years. Now that she's been living in the back room for so long, her only real friends are the figures of history, and figments of her imagination.

Hair: sheared short in military style, blonde
Eye color: bright blue
Appearance: He looks like one of those classic army dudes in the movies. Tall, semi buff, super serious.
Occupation: Police recruit hopeful
Personality: Serious and secretly sensitive. He has a high sense of justice, which means that any crime is major crime in his eyes. On the outside, he has a personality like sand paper, but he has compassion for the victims of crime, and some of the criminals.
History: He grew up in an semi-average family. Both parents were in the army, so he lived with his grandma after age 10, when they were sent out. As soon as he turned 16, however, he took to wandering, and has latched onto Umbra as his new home. He's hoping to join their small police force, so he can help people while staying in town.

Hair: black, shoulder length, feathered away from her face
Eye color: chocolate brown.
Appearance: Asian. She is very thin, with a dancer's figure, and a model's face.
Occupation: Artist and photographer
Personality: STUBBORN! Cali is a renegade, who likes following her own rules and trashing everyone else's. ....Really, she's not that bad. She's just a free spirit, with a lot of spunk.
History: She grew up on Earth, in one of those overly cozy fake perectly perfect cul-de-sac neighborhoods, with the white picket fences and fluffy dogs. Her parents were always extremely over protective, so as soon as she got away from them, she let loose. She's been doing relatively well for herself as an artist, sketching the natural landscapes of Umbra and comissioned portaits.
